Margareta Granvik, artist and jazz singer, born 1947 in Haparanda in the north of Sweden and living in Helsingborg in the south of Sweden since 1973.

Her art has two inspirational channels: the wilderness and jazz.

"Bluebird", the free-flying bird of jazz is often featured in her paintings.

Margareta returns constantly to her native Norrbotten and to the free open spaces of the northern Swedish wilderness.

High mountains, medicine men and magical drums are reoccurring themes in her work.
